Just some thoughts to capture memories.
Alright. I'm back after a long while. It'll be good for me to 10 years later, look back at all these posts and remincise the thoughts which had ran through my mind. Well, I'm currently working at The Learning Lab and indeed, I have learnt loads of things.
Learnt how the world works, what it is driven by and the different kinds and types of ppl involved in making the world spin almost uncontrollably. Well, I'll say that this world is nothing short of plain evil and greed. Yes, it does sound cliche but it really is. It's a dog-eat-dog world out there and really, society has come to a point where nothing else matters other than your family and people around you.
I'm always amazed by how workers at Genting Highland, merely operating a roller coaster by pressing small red buttons do what they do everyday and not get bored. But the truth of the matter is really that being not their choice - choice is a lack of options, typically this or that, which can be vividly seen in this instance. Well, some might say that its their choice to work there and do what they do but if they did not choose what they are doing now, what do you think they can do?
With this, it prompts me to question if my job is indeed boring and in this aspect, I will clearly say no. Because saying yes is being totally unfair to another fellow human being doing a more mundane job than I am.
Then i realise that Genting Highlands is an epitome of a mini- world. First, it is situated right on top of the clouds, pearched on a hill making the area an exclusive piece of land, somewhat like living in heaven. It has the top management people controlling the expansion of the company in suits and ties to the lowest group of people in the corporate "caste system" in broken rags out in the freezing cold. And guess what, both are human beings with equal rights to life, living in an enclosed place but leading totally different lives. The top guys have their meals at restaurants while those at the bottom probably have their meals out in the open, one spoon in one hand and the hand busy pressing buttons.
So really, what right is there for us to determine what kind of lives we live? If ever, society determines our life and future. Its shapes how we think and our actions towards certain things. If not for the greed, there wouldn't be such a caste system and wouldn't everybody be better off?
The answer is ironically NO. For one, that is no such thing as no greed in this world. Howcan people with no greed be driven? What drives us other than greed? nothing. This can go on and on but i guess, i shall stop here.
Happy Birthday 21st Conrad. Went to vivocity, Modestros to eat pizza and i had the 20 inch pizza with lagsane. It was really good. Ended the night with photos and more photos. Of cos, all for memory sake. Because its not the number of breaths we take but the number of moments that takes our breathe away.
With that, I'll end and will prepare for church tml.
