My Tribute

ok..the canoeing season is finally over...there's just so much to relate that i don't really know where to start from...firstly, i would like to give a tribute to my one and only partner adrain pertama widjaya..well..i shouln't say we are a flawless partner but i guess 2 of us were heros giving the limited amount of time to adapt and improve...he endured so much of my frustrations that i sometimes wonder if he has pride...but i think one of the qualities he showed me was his complete resilliance towards things affecting him..he showed the true fighting spirit of a human being and i've never seen this kind of passion in my life before..from being slower than the girls to being on par with them then to overtaking them bout a boat length is really admirable in such short period of time...i believe that if we were given a lil more time we would have got into the fianls..ok..but anyway, we got 5th for the most talked about k2-500m event..it was totally crazy..cos every school had their top rowers in this event..ryan and youwei..the most likely champs got dq for some stupid reasons and they are not really sad about it..so why must i take sumthing which i cannot change any more so seriously?..yupx...if u asked me if i had regretted losing the race, i would obviously say yes...but if u ask me how much i regretted this race..i would say the very least...me and adrain were new partners while the rest had their partners since sec 1...well life isn't entirely fair but u have to make things work for you in this world becoz no one else would do it for you..but conrad did the guy's team proud..he got SECOND..yeah..and i am real proud of him..coz he set history!!...ok..i guess at the end of everything, i have come to realise that winning is not as important as the process in which u train to represent your school... u'd practically learn so much more..be it human relationships or even learning to lose..like how to olympic spirit goes...the reward to have a thing well done is to have done it..
